The Good Old Days

Meet The Good Old Days  - Part of our Belfast Delft collection – a series of ceramic tiles, all kiln fired in our Belfast studio. During the Troubles in Belfast, if you wandered its streets, you couldn't forget the iconic shout of paper boys selling the Belfast Telegraph Newspaper.

In creating these stunning pieces we've mixed traditional ceramic techniques with digital design, starting with a hand-drawn sketches by Stephen. Each individual sketch is digitally transformed into the classic blue and white style of 17th Century Dutch Delftware. Stephen’s designs capture moments from recent history – some fun and some more poignant – bringing them to life in a world where detailed patterns meet local stories.

This collection is all about how we remember and share the past, with a bit of art to make you think.

We’re always adding new pieces, so keep an eye out. The Good Old Days  comes in two sizes of tile - and each piece includes its own easel. Some of our pieces are available also in our collection of Bone China so be sure to check it out!
